Start with trust

A small asset marketplace does not need every feature from a large platform. It needs to prove that the buyer can understand the product, pay safely, and receive the file reliably.

Required sections

A strong product page should include:

  • a clear hero preview
  • what is included
  • compatible engines and tools
  • license terms
  • update policy
  • support contact
  • secure download behavior

Pricing structure

License tiers are useful because solo creators and studios have different needs. Start with personal, indie, and studio tiers. Keep the language simple.

Delivery model

Store large ZIP files in S3 or Supabase Storage. Only create signed download URLs after payment is confirmed. Avoid putting paid files directly in the public folder.

Keep content simple

JSON products are enough for a small catalog. Once the store has frequent purchases, support requests, bundles, and discount codes, then it may be time to add a database.
